Just a thought regarding Pres. Obama’s healthcare message.

on Jul22 2009

The thought came to me in relation to ancient Chinese acupuncture doctors and the way the medical field was compensated.

Going back thousands of years, the acupuncture Dr. would be paid on a regular basis by the community. It was when one of the citizens got sick that the payment was stopped. Payment may have been a bowl of rice or whatever compensation that person’s family could afford.

Taking this into consideration and applying it to modern-day medicine. If the majority of our citizens were to pay, for example, $10 a week per person to the medical group of their choosing, as long as they are healthy.

That group would be responsible for collecting payments and act as go-between to the hospitals. To prevent abuse from hospitals and doctors requesting unnecessary procedures, perhaps two visits could be arranged for expensive procedures. Emergency care, long-term care, diagnosis and immediate treatment should all be addressed immediately. But procedures requiring research, planning and continual care would need to be confirmed as necessary before the medical groups approve the expenses.

Procedures would have to be put in place to prevent patients from not receiving the medical aid they need and to prevent people from taking advantage of the medical system. Such as, not making it free, meaning, having to make payments on each, first visit. They would still have to pay a small deductible, and repeats of users may need psychological evaluation which should hinder abuse from the majority of the public.

Like I said this was just the thought crossed my mind is a moment. As one of many scenarios that could lead to a correction in our medical system, I thought I would share it.

What do you think?

Imagine life is a bed of roses but you have to work.

on Jul15 2009

Imagine for a moment you are at work and you receive a call your house burnt to the ground. I’m sorry for the visual but life changes in a blink of an eye. Where I live this scenario is not uncommon. Except most of the time we see it coming.

This is fire season in California and the fire departments do a great job protecting our building structures, but all your personal pictures, computers hard drive/memory and paper files, address books and (I use my paid bills & statements to locate contact & account information). These are our responsibility to protect, not the fire departments.

If it were destroyed, what would you do?
Would you have to wait for next month bills or statements to retrieve account information?
Granted some emergency contacts phone numbers are in our cell phones, but most of us still use a paper version of a phone book. You should have one as your cells backup but even that can get lost or stolen.

Imagine if you lost everything today. It will take time to rebuild, and you can and will do it. But if you are stressing the loss, you wouldn’t need the extra stress of finding and dealing with all the companies that you do business with. For example mortgage, insurance, utilities ect. The list goes on and on.

Now is a GOOD TIME to prepare your emergency plan/contact list. Record the name addresses and phone numbers of people you can count on to help you for a few days. Also record all the companies that you will need to survive, living away from home such as;

  • bank accounts & credit card – these numbers will make or brake your chances of survival…
  • medical/pharmacy info- doctors, prescription, notes to leave relatives that my need to take care of your children…
  • insurance policies- home, live, vehicle…
  • employment resume- certifications, licenses…
  • proof of ownership- cars, boats, planes…

Your live is distinct so are you and your family needs. Imagine what you need to be prepared get it together and make copies and secure them in locations or with trusted family members. Discuss your plan with those that need to know and offer your assistance if the need arises

I apologize for the doom-n-gloom message but some one has to remind you, that some one is counting on you to be prepared!

Today’s news: San Andreas Fault Shows Signs – Mysterious earthquakes in California.

on Jul10 2009

One of today’s top news was about these small but constant earthquake tremors that keep shaking. Our earthquake experts, “are not sure what it means”.the San Andreas fault has had over 2000 quakes in the last eight years. Now, they are getting more frequent, slower and deeper. specialists from Northern California, speculate, “could be relieving pressure” slowly, or “it could be an indication of something” big about to happen. Evening news said, “this kind of tremor occurred in 2004 before” that big earthquake.

The thought that comes naturally, is “what would I do as if this the “The Big One”? But then it passes, immediately. I live in Southern California and many of us think we are immune to the effects of an earthquake. But since I created an Online Storage Service, just for situations such as a massive earthquake, I had to consider more serious scenarios than the big one is coming. Okay.

First off, if something drastic was to happen, and one of my first options would be to get in the car and drive. Especially, if my roof fell down around me, or was condemned with all of my documents trapped inside. Another concern after big shaker, is a tsunami which might soon follow bringing a flood to my front door (my house could get washed down even if it survived the shaker). And again, my personal possessions, paper documents and hard drives would make no difference to me if I weren’t alive to use them.
There would be a mass exodus from the city, on a scale larger (and more chaotic) than what happened in Florida last year, or the damage worse than Hurricane Katrina.

Normally, an earthquake, comes and goes extremely fast. The damage is done within seconds, and then we evaluate the damage. Rarely has anyone encountered a quake, large enough to cause the foundation of the house to drop the roof, to the ground.
But it is predicted, will be a time when people will be crawling out of their houses to survive. An 8.0 to 9.0 earthquake would do it, even a 3.5 if it continued for more than, I’m guessing five minutes. We Californians rarely think of something so massive as the 8.0 quake.

People outside of earthquake country probably imagine earthquakes like we see in the movies striking any day. We southern Californians are used to 3.5 to a 5.0, which are rare and scary, but they’ll come and go within seconds. Earthquakes are so common in California, they happen all the time, we just don’t feel them, 1’s & 2.0ect…), I believe our largest one was a 6 or 7.5, which goes to show you how concern I am, I don’t even remember exactly. I am so complacent that I look at earthquakes the same as thunderstorms, kind of cool.

Every part of the world has problems as well as some that we share. This earthquake thing is one of those situations; where you have to say, why worry about it. “Not much I can do”, until the big one comes. It’s like waiting for tornado or accident or even the next life. What can you do but be careful & prepared? But when it comes to Mother Nature we can never tell the size of her wrath?

I imagined being in situations of the natural disasters such as an earthquake, which I expect it’s going to come soon. Hopefully it’ll be small and pass with very little damage. This time if it’s big, people on the East Coast will shake their head and thank God that they don’t live here. Just like I shake my head and pray for those that live in; hurricanes paths, tornado Alley or live in areas where the four seasons, especially winter around airplanes in close schools.

News Flash !! More crazy news Today. El Niño caused Hail storms in Maryland when it was 100° outside. Prediction 2010 with Texas to Carolina: wetter / North America: Minnesota to Washington/ mild / southern western states California to Texas: wetter.
Wishful thinking!?!?! We need the rain, (just like last years prediction), this unusual summer weather; they predict an El Niño winter. Which means the weather worldwide will be unusual again. Last winter, we were lucky if we (So.Cal.) had seven days of rain. When on the East Coast they had winter days, you’d think it was summer time. We can’t beat Mother Nature!!! We can only prepare!!! Which is what I was thinking while I was creating Regret To Inform, LLC. To help people rebuild their lives after a devastating event.

The news was my inspiration for the continual work on a ways to improve my

Online Message Storage Service.
___RegretToInform.com___
Benefiting the people that will be reported in the news, which hardly changes: always with victims; soldiers, celebrities, travelers, communities, countries, child and senior neglect, we are all victims-in-wait, but that’s life, lead poisoning, airborne disease, bee disappearing, food shortage… some are man-made, some by Mother Nature. The news has always fueled my desire to Help Mankind. Along with constant prayer these motivations resulted in something unique as, Regret To Inform, LLC.

Do you have an emergency plan? Do you have a backup plan?
Think! What you would do if you lost…? What information can you put on a computer kept safe a thousand of miles away? It’s a choice! Just like stocking up on fresh water and emergency food. Which brings to mind something I need to do, I think I’ll refill some empty water containers.

This is the day of Micheal Jackson’s Memorial Service

on Jul7 2009

We have all lost someone close to us. Now we have lost someone we never knew personally but was a part of our growing up. A music icon Micheal Jackson, a musical genius has passed over to the other side to make music in heaven.

We can try to understand but will never know why, at such a young age God called him home. We thank you God for the talent you gave Micheal and the gifts he gave us.

Music is one of Gods gifts to all of us, and Micheal was one of his better instruments.

May Micheal, rest in peace and we remember him always, as his music touches and heals our hearts.
